PineJam Rules
Pine3D and general info
Pine3D is a 3d graphics library for CC made by Xella. PineJam is a jam all about using Pine3D to create programs for CC, or to build on top of the library, or anything else related to Pine3D.
PineJam 2023 is the first jam for Pine3D, organized by Xella, Emma, Shadyduck and 9551Dev. Since this is the first jam for Pine3D, and we don't want to limit creativity, there is no theme for the jam, though there might be one for later jams if any are planned.
Judging
Your PineJam submission will be judged on four different categories:
- Fun - how fun is your submission to use/play?
- Creativity - how creative and unique is your project?
- Graphics - how good is the visual experience despite Pine3D limitations?
- Performance - how much effort is spent on the performance, specifically for more complex projects?
Each judge will give a comment on your project. For each category, your submission will be judged with a score of 1-10 by each judge. The judge averages for each category are used to rank your submission for that category.
Prizes
There will be a prize for the winner of each category. Each submission is eligable to only one prize, such that each prize will go to a different submission. Winners will receive 10 euros, which can be received directly through PayPal, or through anything of equivalent value if preffered (Discord Nitro, osu! supporter, etc.).
Rules
There are a few rules for valid submissions for the PineJam:
- Your project must be related to Pine3D in some way: uses Pine3D, addon for Pine3D, assets for Pine3D or other system that works well with Pine3D, etc.
- Working in teams is allowed
- You can only have one submission (when working in a team, you can also have a solo project, if the team project is submitted by someone else)
- Your submission must be made during the timeframe of the jam. Late submissions can still be accepted if judges agree to do so.
How do I join the jam?
We're glad you want to participate! To join the jam, you need to join our Discord, and submit a post in our forum channel "PineJam Submissions" with your project name. A judge will add you as a contestant and create a project for you on the website.
Once you have joined, you can use the "/editproject" command to update information about your project on the website, such as your install command, description (which has markdown support), thumbnail, repository link and a list of screenshots.
